October Blessings

What could be better than time spent with my sweetie at the beach, time spent with the munchkins or time with my precious sisters?  I have had such a wonderful time the last couple of weeks that I can hardly find words to describe the pleasures I have enjoyed.  Therefore...........I give you pictures:

Still in love with Hilton Head Island

Love to visit Harbor Town at sunset!

Still can't believe we went parasailing...and loved it!
After returning from Hilton Head, we got to spend Sunday afternoon with the four little "loves of our lives".
We took them to Shakertown and had a great time petting all the farm animals and hiking on the paths.

And the latest October memory is a weekend retreat at the lake with my four best friends who just happen to also be my sisters.  We enjoyed the beautiful surroundings of the lake.  It was such good sister time, as well as relaxing time!

Yep, so far October has been a really fun month and just to think we still have Jerry's birthday and Halloween to go yet!

Aaron's Special Day

This happy little guy is Aaron, our third born grandchild.  He is so happy because we are having our "munchkin" birthday party for him.  We were all on vacation last week when his real birthday was so we celebrated it this past Sunday.

Let me tell you a little about Aaron.  I guess if I had to nickname him it would be the "wild child."  Aaron is a ball of energy and enthusiasm...........most of the time.  I might also tag him as a "split" personality.  When he's up, he's way up, but when he's down, he's way down.  He can go from exuberant to grumpy  in a flash.  But most of the time he is a joy!  He is so loving and his hugs are priceless!  I think Aaron will do well in life because of his "strong willed-ness."  If he wants to do something, he gives it all he's got.  If he doesn't want to, he can be as stubborn as a mule!

Like the other munchkins, Aaron brings so much joy and excitement to our lives and we love him so much!  Thank you God for all our precious grandchildren!

Majesty and Power That Comfort Me

This morning as I sat and looked at the ocean, it occurred to me again just how powerful God is and then how soothing He can be at the same time!  As you know from reading my blogs, I am a nature person.  But, more than that, I am a "Creator of Nature" person.  I am always in awe of God's beautiful creation.  I thought this morning as I looked out at the ocean that no matter how much man can mess up God's world, we can never take away from the majesty of the ocean.  How the tides come in and go out.  How the ocean waves roar as they come in and the beautiful sound of the water as it hits the beach.  Doesn't matter how much BP oil is in there it will always come in and go out and it will always have waves crashing to the shore, soothing the soul.

Thank you, my God and Saviour, for allowing me to enjoy your power and majesty one more time!

Psalm 8: 1, 3

1 O LORD, our Lord,  how majestic is your name in all the earth!  You have set your glory
above the heavens.

3 When I consider your heavens,  the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars,
which you have set in place,  4 what is man that you are mindful of him,
the son of man that you care for him?
