Hebrews 11:1
1 Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.
When I was a little girl Christmastime was magical to me! I LOVED it! My mama always made sure that Christmas was so special and it was such a happy time because of her efforts. Since we didn't get toys or other gifts at other times during the year, the anticipation of receiving them at Christmas was huge! I was never disappointed. As in Hebrews 11:1, I had strong faith that what I hoped for was going to happen and I was certain that, even though I never saw any evidence of gifts prior to Christmas Day, they would be under the tree and scattered around our living room on that morning.
Today, as an "older child" I still love Christmas. I love giving gifts to those I love but the renewed thrill on Christmas day of being sure that my Saviour came (and WILL COME AGAIN) for me gives me indescribable hope!
